Developed by Realtime Associates, the game casts players as Toxie, the hideously deformed creature of superhuman size and strength, as he battles the polluting forces of Dr. Killemoff across Tromaville. While it successfully captures the zany, environmentalist energy of the animated series, the transition to the Mega Drive results in a side-scrolling brawler that feels somewhat pedestrian when compared to the heavy hitters of the genre.
Mechanically, the game follows the standard "walk right and punch" blueprint, though it incorporates Toxie’s signature mop as a primary weapon for reach and crowd control.
