While the religious overtones are heavy-handed, the core mechanics are surprisingly robust, offering a cohesive world filled with secrets, dungeons, and a progression system based on collecting the "Armor of God." It represents a rare moment where a "Bible game" actually functions as a legitimate piece of software rather than mere shovelware.
Combat utilizes the "Fruit of the Spirit," which acts as diverse projectile weaponry ranging from pears to pomegranates, each with unique properties and upgrade paths. The level design is non-linear, requiring players to backtrack and use newly acquired tools to bypass obstacles, much like Link’s excursions in Hyrule.
